many times it is the transplants that are rude -- I guess they feel I'm in the city now I have to be tough.

You know that could be it, though victorygin is a transplant as she's cool as shit. I worked with a girl once who moved to NYc from Wisconsin. She was here in the city for about 6-8 months. During a conversation I mentioned that I lived in New Jersey and she start busting my chops and calling me Bridge & Tunnel. Now I've lived a stone4s throw from NYC for 32 years, my entire life, and here is the milk maid cheese head from Wisconsin calling me Bridge & Tunnel.

All I have to say is this guy is a true HERO..
Not some Rock Star, Pro Athlete, or Movie Star.

The sad thing is people get rewarded for Sucking up someones ass, cheating people for money, or being Popular ( ala Nada Surf)

This guy will get a pat on the back and nothing more. How Sad.

    Wesley Autrey deserves more.

Atleast he has shown you can win the lottery. The Lottery of having a true Heart in this time and age.

I Salute Wesley Autrey he is a true Urban Soldier.

I don't know that I would have even thought of that.

But, I think people who survive wars and still have their wits about them are pretty exceptional. :)

That family should be kind to him from now on.

I don't know how many of you have seen the tracks of NYC subway system. Jumping down there alone, without threat of an oncoming subway, takes huge balls.

  • Yep, born and raised in NYC and still find people that want to act like they own NYC cause they went to the new suckie restaurant or because they survived their first year here or they were able to leave their little town and everyone else stayed behind--or some other crazy stuff.

O I remember when I first started posting and some guy went off on me because he said I lived in a less than desirable (I'm being very gentle with my memory) neighborhood and that is why I felt a certain way.

    Pretty cool story!

I'm not afraid of New Yorkers, I'm afraid of Texans ;)

  • haha I know

I'm just afraid of their accent, sometime my ears start to actually bleed.
