i never received my vote by mail ballot because i recently moved so it was returned to the registrar. i called them up and they said rather than changing my address and getting a new mail ballot, just to come in and i could vote early. there were quite a few early voters actually.

I voted for Obama this weekend. The place I went to didn't have lines, but I've heard some places here have waits as long as 2 hours.

Most everyone I know has already voted - all but 2 of them for Obama.

You can't vote early in NY? Bummer. :(

My husband was lucky to be off today so he went to vote early 3 hour wait in line here in Miami to cast a vote, he sat all 3 hours though and proudly casted his vote for Senator Obama :D

    Awesome! :)

At the Obama rally I went to this weekend, some of the warm-up speakers asked how many of the nearly 50,000 people there had already voted. So many people raised their hands that even the speakers seemed surprised. I guess maybe some of them haven't really voted yet, but people waited in line for 2-14 hours to get into the rally and they had volunteers pulling them out of line to go vote at the nearby early voting place.

The organization the Obama campaign has, especially regarding early voting, just amazes me.

Voted today. Had to do it early. Will be in Mexico on business next week.

I won't tell you who I voted for, but let's just say I am in the minority here in the great red state of Texas.

I will never do the early voting, there's just stuff that could come out in the wash in days before the election. Say, an interview in chicago public radio or something.

I like to keep my options open.

Whether you can vote early depends on what state you live in. I voted last week here in WV, and OH also has early voting, but I was surprised to hear today at the Obama rally in Pittsburgh that PA does not have early voting.

Washington state is now vote by mail, so I voted last week. We also had a "right to die" initiative on the ballot, so I was glad to get my vote in. :)

    congrats to everyone voting!

It's my understanding that they won't be counted until election day, at least not in NM. I could be mistaken though.

I voted early too, at work even. I did my part to swing this swing state Obama's way. 3 of my normally republican buddies all voted (or said they did) for Obama too. They better count them right this time!

I'm voting tomorrow. I found my local early voting location tonight so I figured I'd beat the madness of 11/4 and take it all in from the comfort of my couch (and a six pack...a bottle of vodka is on reserve if it goes the wrong way :D).

That said, the local news tonight has McCain only by 4 or so points here in Arizona...his own f'n state!
