So not wearing a flag pin = not liking a country? With logic like that, who needs common sense?
I don't wear a flag pin, have a yellow ribbon on my car, or a flag in front of my house, that doesn't mean I don't like the country any less than you do?
People really crack me up.My whole life

Do you have a fucking flag pin on right now? When was the last time you saw ANY of the presidential candidates wearing a fucking flag pin on their lapel? Let me clue you in on something. Off with his head for not performing a useless gesture!
Maybe next time he puts his hand on his heart, he'll solve all the worlds real problems.
I say cut the bullshit and get to the point. It's just a silly song.
The rest of them have their hands on their hearts only because they are brown nosing their way into power.0 -
Spinbrett, please address the issue of the American flag being on any form of clothing, pin or sticker, is against it's very ideals.
So, why be down on a guy who is actually respecting the code of the American flag?0 -
if the biggest problem conservatives can come up with has to do with lapel pins and hand placement, they are clearly at the bottom of the barrell of things to complain about. and it's hilarious.
Stick to your hillary bashing all you like, but Obama is about to be elected your president and there is nothing you can do about it.You can't spell "dumb" without DMB0 -

even if your statement was made with any truth or liability it shouldn't matter. Its not like he is disrespecting anyone or his country. he has the freedom to do as he pleases and I think it makes a statement...if your statement was true.San Diego, July 07, 2006

Isn't the right to do what you want with your hands part of that "freedom" and "liberty" thing we're supposedly fighting for?
Funny how freedom is not so important when you dislike someone.
It's that whole "do whatever you want, as long as i approve of it" mentality that the current administration has been peddling for years. You can't spell "dumb" without DMB0 -
joe, Obama has no chance of winning. He has no experience, no policy, raised in an anti-white church, etc. etc.0

So are you going to answer my question about how the flag is not to be on articles of clothing?0 -

1) It was the national anthem, not the pledge of allegiance there fool.
2) With that singing, I would have probably put my hands over my ears instead of my heart.
3) I can't remember the last time I put my hand over my heart when standing for the national anthem. You act like he was sitting down talking to someone what it was being sung.
And here he is leading the pledge of allegiance in the Senate (with his hand over his heart):

We get it Spin, you don't like the guy and wouldn't vote for him if he was the only candidate running. At least act like an adult and bring up current events or relevant things.
Regardless, the whole Pledge thing is overblown. There are a lot of good people who don't say it for many reasons, among them religious reasons--in fact, primarily religious reasons, if you leave out the "I'm too lazy to say it" reason. If you've ever watched a high school classroom, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone with their hand over their heart saying the Pledge, on top of it, making the outrage over not saying it highly hypocritical. Of course, it's not really young people that make the most hay out of the Pledge recital. I typically recite the Pledge, but leave out the part of "one nation, under God," since I don't believe that part. Call me an agnostic--'cuz I am. But, I'm not really a liar. So, anyway. I get to watch people say and not say the Pledge on a daily basis in my job. It's not exactly a huge deal to see another American making a choice unique to them over it. Good Americans all over the place can choose to say it or not and not have it actually indicate anything about how good of a citizen or person they are.0 -

I'm sure once Obama is elected you'll complain about "those people" stealing white people's jobs.
And whoever posted the Bush pick putting his hand over his gut, thank you. I'll have to use that one next time someone brings up this stupid pointless shit.
You know, sometimes I wish some people would just flip a coin to figure out who they were going to vote for, it would make more sense than some of the parameters people set to determine whether or not they would vote for someone.0 -

Given the 50/50 partisan nature of most people's politics, that's basically how they do vote today.0 -
SpinBret...
Dude.. I take it you have NEVER been to a sporting event. There are people who don't remove their hats... who order over priced beers... squirt mustard on their hot dogs... and piss in very stinky restrooms during the National Anthem. Do you question THEIR patriotism, too?
If you believe patriotism comes from bullshit gestures and salutes... you are missing the boat... completely.
...
If you are going to criticize Obama... criticize him on his contradictory voting record or the fact that he says a lot... but you really don't get a clear picture of his goals. Something related to politics.
Going after these types of cheap swift boat shots makes you appear... well... for lack of a better phrase, like a moron who knows nothing of politics except for what he sees on the cable networks or hears on Talk Radio.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

All good points. And you know what? I actually think the pledge of allegiance is bullcrap. I'm sure the Nazi's made their citizens pledge "allegiance" as well. We're lucky we have the opportunity to do or not do ridiculous social customs in this country as we see fit. Obama could take a dump on the flag as far as I'm concerned and I couldn't give a flying fuck at a rolling doughnut, to quote a great man.one foot in the door
the other foot in the gutter
sweet smell that they adore
I think I'd rather smother

look at the bigger picture.....you are comparing a drunk pissing at a ballgame to a senator trying to become president. Apples and oranges.0
