Eddie and PJ paintings

I wasn't sure how this first one was going to come out, some parts came out better then I expected, and other parts i'm not sure. Since it has been years since I've done a painting like this, and never have on canvas before, I guess i'm pretty happy with the overall outcome of this painting.

This second painting I just finished yesterday. I've liked the real Pearl Jam picture that I did this painting from since the album came out last may. The picture is dark and I liked the colors in it. The background really blue and the mound of PJ flesh; red, brown, black and colors of the innards. There is alot of shapeless blobs, so i just blobbed on the paint, mixing lots of reds, and browns. With the blue, I just kept adding white as I was going along. I outline the PJ Pile O' Flesh to make them standout more. I'm pretty happy with the outcome of this painting, though not as detailed as I originally wanted it to be.

I'm wondering, about wondering...

Pop-art feel goes well with the genre. I'm also liking the "background" portion. Nice job.0

I am glad my paintings are liked. Thanks. Yes, these were painting using acrylic paint. Since i'm no good with taking photos of things, I couldn't get a good shot of the painting to show more of it's details. Plus the glare from the flash of the camera.I'm wondering, about wondering...

I dont really like the one of Ed, its not that its bad, way better than anything i could do, it just a little cartoon-ish to me, i like the background you've done though.
The 2nd one is great. Good job.0 -

I think they're really good. I like them both. You said you've never painted on canvas before. What do you usually use? Thanks for sharing."I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."0
