Actually half of those I took while just holding my breath. I love the feeling of freedom that comes with being in the water without all the heavy gear. It comes in handy to be able to breathe sometimes ;), but you can experience a lot without it too.

:) I wish it were summer now and I'm someone who enjoys winter! :D I live about 2 minutes walking distance from lake Ontario and I tell you, I sure wish it wasn't polluted :( so I could go for a dip every summer morning. I feel the same way, there's just a peaceful kind of freedom you feel in the water and nothing quite compares to it. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures! And WOW, those are some great shots for someone who's just holding their breath! :)

  • hello scubascott, they're great.... like lots of others I really like the picture of your air bubbles caught in the light. i also like a lot the picture looking up to the surface and also the picture of the green, mmm not sure what it is, some kind of sea plant.... you dive in a gorgeous world. I used to dive too.... the most beautiful thing I saw was a manta ray.

Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
  • Thanks for the encouragement guys. I really want to get out and experiment with some more surface and light images. I'll keep you posted if anything good happens.

In the meantime here's a couple for the land lubbers.

  • Nice. I haven't ever played with balck and white really. Occasionally I turn a colour shot into balck and white in photoshop to see if it looks better, but usually I'm trying so hard to accurately capture the colours I don't even think of it. Here's another one.

Ha ha. You're welcome. I'm still figuring this photography stuff out myself. Look at Mina's photos in the other thread if you want some real artistic inspiration.
