    i really like your print... there is indeed great texture, as you described....


    as for our friend Mookie's work.... i urge you to check out the rest of his website, and his other paintings....

    my personal favorites are "The Day I Met Gord Downie", and "Brian"... IMO, they have GREAT depth... even though they are simple black & white images, to me, they jump off the page!! :D

    i think it takes great skill to give such life to something in only one colour. :)

    what are your goals?
    do you want to sell your pieces or do you want exposure and/or enter shows, etc?

    my real questions are....
    are all the pieces on your site available for sale?
    would you take a suggestion and then create a piece based on said suggestion?

    thanks gluten, i was just joking around :)

    all my pieces from the site are sold except one or two, and i do shows whenever i have enough spare material around. fortunately, there are plenty of willing bars and coffee shops here in halifax...so finding a show is not hard if people like your stuff.

    hey cakebaker, all of the stuff on the site is sold with the exception of a piece or two. i'm always open to doing custom pieces.

    if you put both pieces up on the same wall, only the hardcore jammers are going to get "sometimes we did". i think jeremy's famous enough that it'll make everyone think of pj... but crazy mary's relatively obscure.

    I love how titles affect the viewer's impression of the piece. This piece you posted is quite lovely. The chaos in the top-left, the solitude in the top-right. The multi-panelled approach that displays union and separation at the same time. Much like Jeremy AND "Crazy Mary" (what's her real name?), their union and separation.

    don't worry civ...the world has not ended yet! :D how many months has it been now that i've been saying i'll be getting the pic soon?!?! i am an ass...albeit an ass waiting for a pic from a very busy and forgetful friend! :)
