My first fathers day

So many things changed in this past year
the gift of life landed in our hands
my beautiful son was born
and I cried.

To see your first smile,
or the wonder in your eyes
on your first car ride
I smiled.

All the sleepless nights
I wouldnt change a thing
no matter how difficult the times
you have changed me

I love you
my dear sweet son
thank you for my gift this fathers day
thank you for being my son.

    congratulations....!!!!

    our baby is 1 and a half.....he's crazy about his Dad.....the main thing he says from morning till night is 'Dada, car'.....it's so wondrous to see your boy go through the different stages......and to know that your line will survive......and that he'll have children, and they'll have children......life just seems richer when you have a child......to see the different expressions pass over his face.....and he's so small....I can totally understand how this experience could inspire your first poem.....it's an amazing life changing experience, and your poem does it justice......

    (okay, now just shuttup....hehehehe)
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    it means alot.. there was alot more to the poem at 1st, but that was all I could put out, seeing as Im at work, and you never know who is looking over your shoulder.
