I see you lying there, on life support, and I can't help but feel sorry for you. After all we've been through, no one has had a bigger impact on my life. You changed me for the worse...you changed me for the better...but the most important thing is: you changed me.

My heart reaches out to you, now more than ever. You were there for me when I was down....you were the for me when it hurt to breathe....you were there for me in moments of rage...but the most important thing is: you were there for me.

You caused me so much pain. You ruined my innocence. You ruined all that I was, and all that I thought I could be. How could you do such a thing? You ruined what I used to be....but the most important thing is: you ruined me.

During a time when I felt I could not go on...during a time when I felt that life was no longer worth living...you helped me feel anger. You helped me feel pain. You helped me feel sorrow...but the most important thing is: you helped me feel.

You lie there..fading. You lie there waiting. But we both know you can't die. You can't. You will always be around. You will always be a part of this life. Most people don't know you...most people will never know you....but the most important thing is: you are me.

    Oooo, I liked this a lot and the twist at the end really caught me off guard!! :) I kept thinking it was pretty neat how each paragraph ended with "but the most important thing is:", especially since the content was so morose, but once I got to the end and was hit with: "you are me", it all came together. Good job, Nothingbetter!

    I feel like I just saw the "Sixth Sense" again!!! Very well written and I agree with BE, the ending left me breathless :)
