Opening Band Kings of Leon
Any of you familiar with them?
I bought their latest CD last night and have listened through twice. It's pretty different.....great drummer and bass player.....average on the guitar at best. The vocals are very different - to me any way - kind of like scream/whine/moan thing going on.
I really like the first track - She gonna have my baby - it's pretty catchy...and 7+ minutes long.
They would really fit in at Bonaroo.

the kings are fannntastic. i highly recommend checking out their earlier albums as well. they've grown up nicely.i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam0

haha you ask if anyones heard of them as if there a small band.....there quite big man
headlining at glastonbury n festivals....there pretty cool, ive seen them twice, there okay0 -
One of my favorite bands. I picked up their first release, Youth and Young Manhood, shortly after it came out after reading about it on NME and I was hooked. I think that album far surpasses their last two efforts, but those are even great in my opinion.
I would love to see them at Bonnaroo too, but them being Tennessee boys it has been said they will be there whether actually on the schedule or not, so who knowsAll I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow
They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all0 -
I loved them! Saw them 14 times as openers for PJ, never bored! They were always fun and got better in time, the latest release in more interesting. Don't miss them, specially "Slow Night So Long" AKA Ed Shreds Tambo song

You are in for a treat! They are a LOT of fun. BOT grew on me to the point that now they are one of my favorite bands
... and the will to show I will always be better than before.0 -

1. Pearl Jam
2. Black Keys
3. My Morning Jacket
4. Kings of Leon
The Kings are a very very solid band and they are only getting better. I'm a big Aha Shake fan.5/24/06 - Boston

"haha you ask if anyones heard of them as if there a small band.....there quite big man"
I realize it's a mighty big world out there and I live in backwoods, country Haddock Ga. The "rock" stations alternate between Led Zepplin, Aerosmith & REO Speedwagon. There is not a single radio station within 100 miles of here that will play pearl jam....much less Kings of Leon.
There are about 22 Country stations to choose from, though.
If you were wondering though.....I can read and do wear shoes. :-PIgnoring Rusted Signs0 -
They are a hybrid of Lynyrd Skynyrd and AC/DC, in my opinion. They fucking rock!Big Ed wrote:Any of you familiar with them?

Introduced to their great live shows through their opening slot on the PJ Australia tour. Saw them 5 times in OZ. Also saw them at Lolla. Tremendous. I highly recommend KOL. Very much looking forward to hearing KOL next month."Buy the ticket, take the ride"

Kings are amazing! I saw them headline at Radio City on September. Awesome show.I pledge to you a government that will not only work well, but wisely, its ability to act tempered by prudence, and its willingness to do good, balanced by the knowledge that government is never more dangerous than when our desire to have it help us blinds us to its great power to harm us.
