As I Lay Dying

In peace we find tragedy
In death we find new birth
we twist everything that happens
for better or for worse
you didn't see me bleeding
but my heart was pouring out
and now I'm here clasping my last breath
screaming these words out

I feel so insignificant
to your needs and your life
your so much more important
and I'm just a speck in the corner of your eye
we know what this lifes about
but I'll call it a lie
because now your not here anymore
I've no more reasons why

as my world starts to blackout,
I feel my tide coming in
I look around for you to be
but your only within
you were gone so long ago
and I was left for dead
wishing, praying, regreting
any words I said
that made you want to leave me
that made you go away

Is it really all my fault?
or maybe I was naive
to fall for your charms
your heartless kiss of death
and as I lay here dying
I cry out your name ((one last time))
but all I hear back is an echo
with an image of you in my mind.
