I used to really love Kyuss and then for some reason this year I didn't listen to them much, but I just listened to Blues for the Red Sun again and the love is back in full strength.

Kyuss appreciation anyone?

Love em' all. Blues and Sky Valley are fantastic. I love putting Kyuss on while I'm driving. Especially from Colorado to California or vice versa.

I liked 'em when they were first out. I can still listen to them occasionally, but I played those records into the ground years ago. Great band that spawned a lot of other great music.

great band. Sky Valley and The Circus Leaves Town are amazing. Blues is good too. i actually found the split they did w/ Queens in a used record shop. 6 songs for $30. Kyuss does a Sabbath cover i believe. John Garcia's band after Kyuss, Slo Burn, was amazing too,, "Pilot the Dune"!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you guys like Garcia's voice check out Unida too. GREAT album. Urban Coyote was the name of it.

    Kyuss was great.

    Remember when QOTSA were?

FCKING AWESOME - and yeah so were Unida - shame there was only the one album.

I actually have never met anyone who just LIKES Kyuss. It seems that everyone who knows them thinks they're the business.

(cue the flood of posts from people who think they suck).

Ah but there were 2! It just never got released. It is however even better than urban coyote.
  • i used to listen to that band in the 90's...then poof...they went away....what happend to them??
  • They broke up after ...And the circus leaves town. John Garcia does some singing for other bands, I don't really listen to them. Josh Homme played guitar for Screaming Trees for a bit and then Josh and Nick Olivieri formed Queens of the Stone Age who put out three Badass records and recently put out a decent one sans Olivieri. Nick's now in Mondo Generator and Queens are still around, with a new record expected in 2007.

    I Looove Circus.

But thats pretty much cause El Rodeo is my fav Kyuss song.
Awsome band. I also love the fact that when people say ohhhh I love Queens I can proudly say I listened to Kyuss waaay before Queens.

    On a flip note,
I partied with Queens before they were big.
At a small club in Winnipeg after their first album came out.
    Still have my beer bottle.
