I'm pretty sure most of you will say their first is their best. That's what I would say if I didn't discovered the power and energy from Evil Empire. I mean listen to Snakecharmer, which is definitely one of my fav. RATM songs. Also songs like Vietnow, Revolver, Tire Me and Wind Below are always fixin' my day.

Now it's your turn.

    Evil Empire and Renegades
  • It is any easy choice for me, I'd have to go with Selt Titled. I really hope to see them live in the future.

  • Actually, RATM is the only band I can think of where I like all their albums equally. I can definitely say they're a band who broke up while still in their absolute prime. That's very rare imo.
  • It is really hard to Rank RATM albums but I would go
    1. Battle of LA
    2. Self Titled
    3. Evil Empire
    4. Renegades

I listen to all 4 pretty equally and these rankings change daily...

Agreed, but for me I would switch 1 with 2. Honestly I'm pretty surprised to see how many of you like Renegades. I absolutley hated it. Well not hated it, but I thought it was pretty bad. Ghost of Thom Joades, I'm Housin',
Kick Out the Jams are the only songs I really like off of it.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

  • All 3 of Rage's original material albums are fucking classics. But as of now, I'd say I like Evil Empire best.
  • Battle of LA got me into them...but the first album is my favorite. they're all pretty good though.

I remember hearing Killing in the Name (edited ;)) on the radio and running to the store to buy that album. It was groundbreaking and everysong was amazing! Evil Empire is also a favorite of mine, but nothing beats the shock and awe that came with discovering the self-titled Rage record.
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.
