Good pair of headphones?

Anyone have a favorite pair of headphones, especially for listening to Pearl Jam? I just got a pair of Sennheiser PX100s and I'm pretty satisfied with them. A lot of sound leakage, but I knew that when I bought them...

for all your questions about headphones....the ultimate site:
http://www.head-fi.org/forums/
i used a few pairs of IEMs. the choice would really depend on your budget and whether or not you want big cans or somethign that fights snugly in your ears.
the IEMs i've used: sony ex71sl: (~$35), pretty solid, very comfortable IEM, gives you solid bass, but its also very isolating. shure e2c: (~$60) wouldnt recommend, its good sound quality, but not so comfortable, but excellent warranty plan. loved the westone um1 (~90), probably one of the best single driver earphones out there. my next headphones will probably be: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009Q4PH4?ie=UTF8&tag=headpdeals-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0009Q4PH4
but browse the site above. gives you all sorts of information, and the people there are willing to help. the new shures are excellent, as well as the um2. good luck.0 -

Sony MDR-V700. Very nice. I got these for DJing a couple years ago. They used to run $170, you can find them on the ebay now for under $50. Best Phones for under $50, hands down.0

I've been dying to get a pair for a while now. I was on a headphone forum for a little bit and people seem to love this brand of OPEN CANS. "cans" are headphone geek talk for "Headphones" or something. OPEN means open air... non-enclosed... surrounding people can hear your sounds...

I like my Bose on-ears. Not too much sound leakage compared to some of the other headphones I've used, and while some say it emphasises the bass too much, I love that I can feel the bass, especially on some bootlegs where without the headphones I cannot hear Jeff at all.
Problem with the on-ears are they're not really made for on-the-move listening. There's a quite noticeable shuffling noise with every step you take.
I had a trial of the around-ears, but since I wear glasses, the on-ears just felt sooooo much more comfortable. Better looking than the Grado 125 for a similar price. Among the models with comparable prices, I like them more than the Sennheiser ones. Noise cancelling is not as good as the Bose QuietComfort ones, but they're significantly cheaper and don't need to be battery powered, which I hate.
Earbuds don't do anything for me at all, but my on-ears aren't exactly made for when you go out for a jog, so I just stick with the plain old ipod earphones when working out, but if I wanna be sitting down for some solid music appreciation, the bose on-ears are the way to go.Binary solo..0000001000001111000011100 -

I am a live sound engineer. There are 2 "standards" in professional headphones in the audio industry. The Sony MDR-7506 and the Sennheiser HD280Pro. I use the Sennheisers. Both offer EXTREME isolation and have very flat frequency response. They are both under between $75-$100.2000: DC / 2002: Letterman 2 / 2003: Raleigh, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Philly, State College, Camden 1, Camden 2, DC, MSG 1, MSG 2, Hershey, Holmdel, Bridgeschool 1, Bridgeschool 2 / 2004: Reading / 2005: Philly / 2006: Camden 1, DC / 2008: Palm Beach,Camden 1,Camden 2,DC,MSG 1,MSG 2,Boston 2 / 2009: (EV) Philly 2, (EV) Baltimore 2, San Diego, Philly 1, Philly 2, Philly 3, Philly 4 / 2010: Boston, Newark, MSG 1, MSG 2 / 2011: (EV) Philly0

I have a pair of the SR-225's. I love the shit out of them. They're not the best when travelling on airplanes because the engine noise drowns out the beautiful sound. But oh man do they have good sound. Listen to Binaural with a pair of those and you'll be sold.0 -

I was so close to buying HD280s, they were listed at $49.99 for about a week on amazon. Of course the day I decided to follow through they shot back up to $89 and now they're at $99. Still not a bad price, but knowing what could have been I can't justify the current price.
That said, I like my PX100s so far.0 -

You really learn alot and how to save $$$ after an experience like this. You gain self control over impulsive behavior.
