No problem. I've got Head Shop as well here. I downloaded a pile of live Jane's stuff from the forum over at xiola.org. Great collection of stuff over there.0

They let Stop! be on Guitar Hero II for the 360. Their recording too, not a cover. It's a lot of fun to "play".0

Props for Eric, he was indeed a big part of JA. He's done some amazing stuff since then including the Deconstruction cd with Dave Navarro and a few releases with Polarbear. He gave Alanis Morissette some new blood and kicked ass with Garbage on their last tour. According to a good friend who knows him he's a totally sweet guy to boot!
Eric will be releasing a new cd this year on Dangerbird records:

"I'm in the midst of a trauma...........leave a message call you back.........leave it by the bed. Some people should die.......it's just unconscious knowledge. Because the bigger you get.......the wider you spread......you gotta depend on me now your vision is dead."
Awesome band!!! Totally underrated!!! Can only think of 1 'alternative' band of the 80-90s that is better. PJ#FHP0 -
I saw them for the first time at lolla the 1st one in 91 or 92 very fuzzy day. They kill nothing shocking, and Live at Kettle Whistle get heavy rotation on my mp3.0

One of my all-time favorite bands. I've seen them I think 4 times, and their discs are always in my heavy rotation.
If you can find the "Live & Rare" CD, buy it.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"0 -
One of my all time favorite bands, too. I listened to Nothing's Shocking just about every day during my senior year of high school. Three Days is one of the greatest rock epics ever written.
I like Strays, but I agree there is something missing from it compared to the classic stuff. That something is one of my favorite bass players, Eric Avery. His simple but powerful bass lines brought such a great groove to the songs. They were really the foundation of most of their best songs. Dave Navarro played his ass off on those albums, too.0 -
XXX\Jane's Addiction would be one of my Deserted Island albums, for sure.
I think it is testament to their ability to inspire awe that Jeff and Stone have admitted that being in Green River and opening for Jane's was a great part of what drove them to want to be in a band of equal QUALITY and ethereal presence as the mighty and hugely influential jane's ...
oceansize is a soundtrack for the life of the modern romantic,
and so many of their songs make you want to just get off your ass and go do something profound!
here is mad props for Perry and the boys.
Also,
want to say that PFPs Good Gods:\\Urge is one of the better albums ever made. The background noises and natural sounds, the instrument voicings and production on that album are just other worldy, even if some of the songs leave a little to be desired ...If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

I first saw them as a support band in 1988 at Brixton Academy in London. I was in the front row and I didn't know who they were until I asked someone behind me afterwards. They were unbelievable. I saw them again 4 times after that.0

Just saw Jane's Addiction in Vegas at the Brooklyn Bowl (the Thursday show).
They did Nothing's Shocking in its entirety. Loved it. Navarro killed it- absolutely killed it.
Brooklyn Bowl is a truly amazing venue."My brain's a good brain!"0 -
I love Janes Addiction live! Their studio albums are good, but I really think they are meant to be seen live. I just wish their sets were longer and they drew more from Strays, but they are amazing live. Incredible show. Navarro, and Perkins are amazing musicians and Jane's just blends so well together live with Perry's vocals and he is a great frontman. I feel so blessed to have seen Perry come out and sing "mountain song" with pearl jam at ACL that was beyond awesome.Post edited by red mos onPJ: 10/14/00 06/09/03 10/4/09 11/15/13 11/16/13 10/08/14

Still think back to it and crank up the album a ton. It's in the regular rotation with no signs of decline."My brain's a good brain!"0
