St.John's has a pretty good music scene. All the traditional bands like Great Big Sea, The Punters, The Irish Decendents and others.

Lots of great rock bands to like The Novaks, Crush, and Magnus Rising.

Actually ya might like Magnus Rising, im friends with the lead singer and drummer of the band. There a good rock band. Here's their website if you would like to check them out

We've got a band in Wenatchee that sounds pretty decent, especially now that they've aquirred a new drummer. Besides Waiting For Daryl, I mean.
They're looking for a new name to go along with their new out look on life, but they used to be called "grunge renaissance". Now they are looking for something more... symbolic.

    The banders:
    Jeremy Stole, vocals
Tanner Faulkner (aka Bird), lead guitar/writer
    Casey Faulkner, bass
    James Lawless, drums

Here is one of my favorite songs, called Tide:

You stand alone on the beaches
    What's on your mind?
You never gazed at the ocean
What about the sun on the other side?
    The tide erodes your feeling
    Will the storm take tonight?
We fear the winds of changes
    But everything's gonna be alright

    You can't stop the tide

    You're standin' in a hurricane
    Above a sea of time
You'll drown in the rush of a moment
But you can't stop the tide
How hard can we push our shell?
    How clear is your mind?
How long 'till we break ourselves?
Or will the storm rage all night?

    Night

It's been three weeks now since I've
    slept a decent night
I just can't get enough of a rush from the
    nineteen hour fight
No cares, no ryhmes, no reasons
I heard they said it was hurricane season
Wish I could find somethin' to do with my
    Wasted life

But you can't stop the tide

You're standin' in the wind of a hurricane
    Above a sea of time
You'll drown in the rush of a moment
But you can't stop the tide
How long will we wage our war?
    How far will we fly?
How much more can you steel your mind?
How much darker are your eyes?

It's been three weeks since the I left the
    shore of time
And already it's been better than
    three years of wasted time
Chains that had never been forged
    broken for the first time
How far will I take this life?
Was I meant to be alone all the time?

    Don't let the tide
    pull your life
    Don't let the tide
    take hold of your mind

=) play nice with them, they're good kids.
That morning, the worlds dripped from his fingers like dew from a leaf... [‡]

My local scene is really good, with bands like

    Matt Good
    Strapping Young Lad
    Destroyer
    Ladyhawk
    Black Mountain
    Pink Mountaintops
    The Organ
Tegan and Sara (well, Tegan lives here anyways)

The band I'm in actually uses the same practise space as the Organ so I use their mics and amps every now and then. We're opening a show in a few days, so I'll tell you how some of the bends are after that.
