i didn't even know that tool had a box set... i guess it came out in 2000... it has a live album in it with 8 songs, (or actually 7 songs, and a song that's filled with a voice from a telephone operator.) and, it also has a dvd with some video's... sober, opiate, stinkfist, and another one.

who else has this?

also found the opiate ep from 1992. i knew there was one but, i've never seen this either. (never really looked but, have never seen it.)

The Opiate ep rules house. I'm not a Tool fan by any means but they're a pretty straight-forward rock band on this one.
Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?

Yeah it went out of print pretty fast and now it is actually pretty tough to find. The VHS versions are a bit more abundant than the DVD box. But I have seen these go for a decent amount on Ebay, so it is at least semi-rare.

Am I the only one who got the pun about the Toolbox Set?

Or maybe they used that as a marketing solution....

Yep, I'll be getting TWO different CD's that day.. It's been five fucking years since Tool came out with Lateralus, and of course 3 1/2 since Riot Act... Both of these releases have been a loooong time coming..

I agree with primus, the bonus track hidden at the end (Maynard's Dick), is the best. I also love the live Pushit track and really get a giggle out of the L.A.M.C. bit.

Opiate rules all. It just rocks you unrelentlessly. Jerk-Off is my fav track from that EP.

Neil Peart has never done anything like the last minute of The Grudge.
