Hard Sun gets massive radioplay around here, I drive for an average of about 20 minutes a day and hear it almost daily. Kinda odd how it turned out to be a big radio hit.

Yeah, we got a weird thing going on here where the alternative radio station Triple J that used to play a shitload of Pearl Jam and broadcast their concerts on the radio back in the day would be lucky to play them once a year now and so the big "rock" commercial station Triple M took up the gauntlet the last two tours and "heavily" promoted them by playing ALIVE 5 times!

Still shits me when I hear them come on Triple M coz they're such a wanker station and they do the bare minimum to get their PJ kudos. So to hear Hard Sun played TWICE in the one week on the same station, well I'm still completely blown away by it! :D I just can't imagine living in a world where there was unlimited access to PJ. It's so not the reality here.

Pearl Jam are the most played band on the Milwaukee and Chicago alternative stations.........I would say they are easily the most played band of any genre because I hear them on alternative, classic, and mix stations

  • perhaps the best band you've never heard of. earlier stuff is wickedly good... particularly the first two albums "gold" and "silver"

here's a video of their 1st album, a housewife love song, which happens to be the only video they've ever filmed. i recommend anybody to get into these guys.

:D That was pretty cool too, but I have a soft spot for that Gin Blossoms song. :)

    Here's some more I remembered FINALLY! :D

Skunk Anansie ~ Charlie Big Potato

    Sevendust ~ Waffle

Days Of The New ~ Touch, Peel, Stand

    http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=sY57T9kbLBo

Tonic ~ If You Could Only See

Maybe not so alternative, some of em got pretty mainstream but they're still pretty cool songs. :)

    Charlie Big Potato was awesome!

I spent hours watching VH1 (yeah, VH1) waiting to see this video again, and again, and again . . .

Clearly my taste in music was still on the pop rock side during the mid-90's, but here's another one I obsessed over:

HATED this at the time, but now they're one of my favorite bands . . .

  • I THINK this is late 90's. Either way I don't care because it kicks my ass back to my teenage years. Just IMMENSE.. the best example of Nu Metal ever.

  • What the hell did I listen to in the 90s? I keep coming up with stuff from the eighties.
