Pearl Jam are the most played band on the Milwaukee and Chicago alternative stations.........I would say they are easily the most played band of any genre because I hear them on alternative, classic, and mix stations
WOW!! Sounds like the place to be! Half your luck!
perhaps the best band you've never heard of. earlier stuff is wickedly good... particularly the first two albums "gold" and "silver"
here's a video of their 1st album, a housewife love song, which happens to be the only video they've ever filmed. i recommend anybody to get into these guys.
Maybe not so alternative, some of em got pretty mainstream but they're still pretty cool songs.
Charlie Big Potato was awesome!
'We're learning songs for baby Jesus' birthday. His mum and dad were Merry and Joseph. He had a bed made of clay and the three kings bought him Gold, Frankenstein and Merv as presents.'
Clearly my taste in music was still on the pop rock side during the mid-90's, but here's another one I obsessed over: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BcmH1LdPNKA

I would say good choice but it's pretty inevitable we're all going to like the same music.
hehehehehehe

despite how beautiful chili peppers songs can be at times (i.e. this song) their music videos seem to never dissapoint and never forget about their funky hilarious attitude.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.
