aside from the documentary side, which i thought was pretty cool, the rest is a let down. cant get over chris' voice. some times it sounds good, sometimes...well...
only seen it once. i think that's more than enough.0 -

We just watched the dvd. Thought it was great. I don't really understand the criticism of Chris's voice. It sounded great to us. Those f-er's rock.
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."0 -
i think its a good dvd but it couldve used some more songs
some of Morello's solos are great, the "Shadow on The Sun" solo kills the studio versionI've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.
Some die just to live.0 -
i have the dvd and i think its great!
oh...and...wow, chris cornell...
"I hear Fanch has a Pimp Cup and loves Kiss. I think that's all that really matters."0 -
I was a little disaponinted with the dvd. I don't think it represents the band to good. Like when I saw them live they were great. Morello is a fucking animal on stage. Like he was unbelievable. On the dvd he wasn't as crazy. It just didn't seem like they were really into it on the dvd. The crowd didn't seem to know what was going on either. Like at the Audioslave show I say there was tons of enery. On the dvd you can't really feel that.0

blacknapkins wrote:Tom Morello and Brad Wilk were interviewed yesterday by Jaxon of Philly's WMMR, and Morello mentioned that the omissions of songs were deliberate. He said something about them not giving everything away at once ... whatever that means. They were really excited about the show in Cuba and felt that they'd been part of something extraordinary.
not giving everything away at once. Hmmm. what a good little capitalist he has become.
yeah i too was very excited about the Rage boys in cuba. though it would have meant way more ten years ago.
Raging in Havana yeah that would have the DVD/VHS to get. Zach would have been apoplectic and that would have been so cool. You know that look he gets sometimes at the end of a song when it seems he's going to bite someone's head off.hear my name
take a good look
this could be the day

I feel like I read somehwere that there were two versions of the DVD, and one had the whole set, and the other didn't. But maybe I'm just remembering incorrectly about the special edition having interviews. Don't know...you couldn't swing if you were hangin' from a palm tree in a hurricane.0
