my favorite is Marvin Gaye.

my favorite album is What's Goin' On?

however, my favorite song is Let's Get It On.

too bad he cracked up :(
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Al Green - another Grand Rapids, Mi guy. When I was in undergrad we had to volunteer some time with an elderly person who was a minority for a social work class. Then we had to present later; one girl was all "have you ever heard of some guy named Al Green, because this is his sister..." Unbelievable...

Yep, Marvin Gaye. But my favourite is Stevie Wonder and Etta James.

Sam Cooke is another great one that I just started listening to because of PJ. :)
