I am a big fan!!! "Songs for the Deaf" is one of the best records I've ever heard in my life. QOTSA have a hard, heavy sound and Josh Homme is an incredible songwriter. I could not be a much bigger fan really, I hope a new album will be out by 2007.Which came first,
the bad idea or me befallen by it?0 -
HUGE Fan right here. Rated R, Songs For The Deaf, Lullabies To Paralyze, three classic albums in my opinion. And the live cd/dvd is amazing. Homme is a genius. I'm actually going out to pick up the new Eagles of Death Metal album today.Who cares if the world is going down the toilet? Eddie Vedder got his mojo back!0

Are they underrated? I don't know! But what I do know is that I like the music of QOTSA.0

Do you have the self titled album? It is quite good.chris05 wrote:HUGE Fan right here. Rated R, Songs For The Deaf, Lullabies To Paralyze, three classic albums in my opinion. I was fortunate enough to see them open for the Chili Peppers in Montreal on their last tour.0

I dont really think they are that under rated to be honest, think they get the plaudits they deserve. Havent listened to them in a while but ive got Rated R, Songs for the Deaf and the self titled album, which i think is my favourite.
I was watching some film called wrong turn the other night about a bunch of teens getting chased about the woods by cannibals, it had that girl from buffy in it. The bit at the start had a guy driving and he puts in a cd and its that song 'you cant quit me baby', off the self titled. love that song, really cool.People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -

I saw them perform as the 2nd opening band on the Big Day Out in '99.
I wouldn't say they were under-rated though. Love this band, they're great.

Im pretty sure that you hear both songs actually if i remember rightly. Doesnt matter though, they are both really cool songs, listening to the album now.People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -
Yeh self titled might be my fav album from QOTSA actually, dunno, they are all excellent0

They are without a doubt the greatest band I've heard come out in the last 5 years. Songs for the Death was the best record I purchased in 03 (yes better than riot act), and they are incredible live, seen them 3 times and the only band thats better live is PJ!9/4/98, 8/4/00, 12/8/02, 12/9/02, 4/15/03, 4/16/03, 4/19/03, 4/25/03, 4/26/03, 4/28/03, 4/29/03, 4/30/03, 7/8/03, 7/9/03, 9/28/04, 9/29/04, 10/6/04, 9/1/05, 9/2/05, 5/16/06, 5/17/06, 5/27/06, 5/28/06, 5/30/06, 6/1/06, 6/3/06, 8/5/07, 6/11/08, 6/12/08, 6/14/08, 6/16/08, 6/24/08, 6/25/080

Think they have been going for quite a while actually. The first album came out in '98 but i think they were goin for a while before that. Iv not got the newest album but i love that song burn the witch.People say im paranoid. Well, they dont say it, but i know that's what they are thinking.0 -
I've seen them 3 times........got all the cds......just saw them recently opening for NIN......they were so fast and furious.....and having Alain aboard is awesome.....0

Queens of the Fuckin' Stone Age.
One of my favorite bands ever. Every album is so good. I don't know what my favorite is. Lullabies and SFTD are a lock for 1 and 2, they rotate. I was anticipating L2P for so long, and the pay off was fantastic.
Anything that Homme touches turns to gold.
A record sprinkled with Lanegan is an absolute gem. [R, SFTD, L2P]
Now that I think about these guys are right behind PJ in my category.
Fuckin' A.Are you too good to tango with the poor poor boys?0 -
