one of the biggest defenses from the streetteamers at Chris Cornells site were that Chris did write all the lyrics, now its more and more evident that he was Timbalands puppet. "Sing it , white boy , sing it."
I'm not sure if the fact that Chris didn't write Part of Me is a bad thing or a good thing. After all, at least he's not responsible for "That bitch ain't a part of me... no, that bitch ain't a part of me."
Smokey Robinson constantly looks like he's trying to act natural after being accused of farting.

My Chris Cornell Inquisiton thread got deleted!! That was fast. Thankfully I saved the text:

I noticed that there's a lot of new members joining this board lately and when they state a negative opinion of Chris' new direction, they are usually questioned about their true fandom to Chris.

You see, it's very important that we should be able to identify the true fans from the infidels here. Only true fans have the right to stay and state their opinons. So for the good of this board, I'm setting upthe Chris Cornell Inquisition. All new members will be watched closely about their beliefs and only the approved fans will be allowed to stay. Old members will be inquired when they state questionable opinions of Chris Cornell. I shall assemble a running list of infidels who should be burned and are not welcome on this board!

Now, do identify the infidels, everyone should look for statements such as:

    "Timbaland sucks!"

"I don't like this new music"

    "Chris Cornell is a sellout!"

True fans should like everything Chris Cornell has ever done! Not liking some of his music is a capital crime andno true fan is allowed to dislike any of his music! A true fan should support everything Chris does, no matter what. if Chris Cornell kills a puppy, a true fan will support his decision! If a true fan sees someone saying bad things about Chris Cornell, the true fan must defend him immediately and try to convert the infidel to the Chris Cornell faith.

Be aware that if you do not fit this profile, you are a sinner and the Chris Cornell Inquisiton will come after you!

It was a good thread and it didn't break any rules!

about 30 min, I even posted some cool visual aid with it:

They should add that no sense of humor is allowed on those guidelines

  • Oh, it's amusing to watch these people contort when they learn more and more about the project and it becomes harder and harder to defend.

Like the co-writers. How didn't they know about the co-writers. I mean, they're true fans! Don't they know how the R&B game works, where even if you *did* write the project yourself, you get all of the producers friends/family slapped on to the liner notes in order to get a part of the royalties?

Except it sounds like these guys actually did have a hand in writing.

Funny, Chris didn't feel like giving the Rage band money, but these guys, no problem... and his own current band, no royalties for you guys, you just have to deal with the overflow from the meet and greets when Chris can't handle it anymore and it challenges his sobriety.

BTW, I was reading around, any truth that Chris has cut off all of the Seattle
people that he hadn't cut off already, like Mike and Matt?

There was a recent interview where he got asked if he's still in touch with the Seattle people and he said no. I was wondering this week if he would have attended the Natasha Schneider benefit if he wasn't on tour. Something tells me that he wouldn't be there anyway...

wouldnt surprise me at all... dont know what theyd want to do with chris anyway... you would think he and mike would have some common ground though as recovered addicts... he seems intent on pushing away the people that care about him for what he really is instead of this "image" he wants for himself

yeah hes pretty much set up shop in France now, opening restaurants , modeling, selling jeans. Im pretty much holding his wife/family responsible. Im sure they just want to keep Chris sober and are looking out for his best interests mentally/health wise. But he has basically given Seattle a big middle finger because he lacks any self control over the booze/drugs. Sucks for his fans and those that loved his music, but at least hes still alive and though fleeting, there is always hope for 1 more masterpiece from him.

He should have gone regardless, it's disrespectful. I don't see why he would cut her out, if he did, considering she was sick and all that, it's pretty much unforgiveable.

if he really is as unstable and human as you suggest i wish that would come across in his work... what better way to deal with your demons than through music?? and it makes for some damn good songs that actually evoke some emotions... all those streetteamers say that the mans private life should be something entirely separate from his music but how can you say that when its obviously directly negatively effecting his music... like you said though, if he can eventually become more self aware and in tune with his own emotional state of mind he may yet have another masterpiece in him

I need to do some gossip right now. Do you guys know who used to write "suggestive" fanfiction about Chris Cornell?

Be cool if Chris would grow a set and reply to our thread, you know hes reading it. Or at least "wh#@efromscotland" from the CC forum tells him what is said since she obviously is the superfan that knows all.

    That's not called for.
