edited January 2006 in Other Music
I just stumbled from my slumber downstairs in the basement, and I see that The Cult has announced a few tourdates. So far only two dates are scheduled, but more are coming:

Mar 4 2006 9:00P
House of Blues San Diego, CA
Mar 5 2006 8:00P
Key Club at Morongo CABAZON, CA

I need to go to Cali, party with Coldie, and see this shit
Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?

I've faced it, a life wasted, and I'm never going back again.

    Some die just to live.

Saw them once, as opener for Billy Idol back in like 1987.
Should be a show worth hitting if they play out this way.
    This weekend we rock Portland

good that Ian finally got rid off the doors of 21 century shit... this is where he belongs and where he gives the best, even in a bad night he can deliver more energy than singin' classic rock songs that none wants to listen with him on... i saw them back in... I dunno, they were promoting the celebration album, and you could note Ian's voice wasn't the best that night, even though the group just gave an amazing performance... Billy Duffy is another story, one of the best and most underrated guitar players we have around.
Hope to have a chance to see 'em again... and I would be grateful for a new album.

all ya'll need to buy this

    http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/dvd.cfm?itemID=IMA001435

from their 2002 tour supporting Beyond Good & Evil (which was an awesome album if you don't have that one). It is simply impossible for The Cult to put out a bad disc.

yeah, that one is great... I just wish it was longer, I have their performance in Mexico city from that concert I went and is at least half an hour longer, they just have so many solid songs.
I'd recommend all the cult fans to search the album from Coloursound, a band that Billy formed with some The Alarm and the mission uk former members. Really worth the struggle to get it (it's out of print).
