Rolling Stone is naming Mastodon the best metal band around.

    that is just stupid.

    Rolling Stone will get no argument from me. They are definitely worthy even if they are not my favorite....though they most certainly rank up there.

    I wasnt all that serious about my comment, well I guess I kinda was about hard rock but I havent listened to any metal since the 90s so I guess there could be some good stuff, just hard to find out anything about it.

    They are Right On with this one.

    I of course agree.

    Can't wait for the new album hopefully later this year.

    They need to get the Baroness to tour with them in support of the album when it hits.

    Mastodon is good, but the best around?... don't know about that one...

    Eddie, great song for your tour (high on the list of best war songs ever) especially if you can get Neil to play.

    mastodon is one of the most enjoyable bands i've discovered the past 2 years - irrespective of genre. awesome awesome band.
