    As for bands, try In Flames. Start him off with Soundtrack to Your Escape, which has some nu metal qualities and then get him into some their older stuff. Also, one listen to Reign in Blood by Slayer should just about kick him off of nu metal forever.

    Why has no one mentioned Down yet?? The second album is a masterpeice.
