Just to bring this whole thing full circle.........Eddie will be inducting REM into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame this year. And Toots and the Maytals (never heard of them before) are playing in Asheville April 4th which is one day after my birthday and the date in 2005 that Carolina won the National Championship. You did say you were a Dookie, right?
Just kidding. I won't hold that against ya. Unless of course this is all some elaborate ruse to toy with us.

But they are definatley playing Walnut? Sweet, I saw them there in 03 and it was such a phenomenal show! Can't wait! Nothing is definite until we get some announcement. Until then, we only have JTR's words to lead us down the path. Where the path leads, we don't know. I do know I have emailed the folks over at The Creek a couple of times in the past several months and they always responded with something along the lines of "I have not heard anything about Pearl Jam touring The South". However, I have not emailed them since the end of November. I will try sending them a new one to see if they will bite.Brian0 -

prodded a connected friend today into checking into JTR's rumors. i have been friends with this person since like 7th grade, and i try not to push my luck on the pearl jam stuff, but he understands, and since i don't overdo it, he'll usually check on something for me if he doesn't already know the answer. i expect to hear back from him in the next couple of days...

Of course. Moved to Derm when I was 3 in 1973. Went to Derm Academy and Duke and then moved here to Nashville in 1992. G105 was not on my presets if that's what you're asking.
Ed is listening.0 -

Wow, didnt know PJ has played Cat's Cradle. But seriously who hasn't played there? Didn't R.E.M. play Cameron in 89 and wasn't part of it in Tour Film?
Walnut Creek would deffinately be the best place to see PJ play in the triangle. I would perfer the Smith Center so I could walk there drunk and throw a big party in walking distance of the show, but then again they don't have alcohol there. Regency Park in Cary is really nice but maybe a little small. I would love it if they sold out Walnut Creek. The only concerts in North Carolina that sell out are country shows like Kenny Chesney. This needs to be fixed.0 -

when they got the call to do lollapalooza, they were in chapel hill...after the cradle show, a local kid named jimmy (friend of a crew member who happened to be from the area) got hired to drive the van back to seattle, and the boys loaded up on a bus with a driver named frank
