    speaking of Dimebag I was sort of watching a behind teh music of Pantera and they closed on what happened to him (which in spite of what I am about to say is tragic and horrible) with the lines "the gunman was belived to be harboring resentment over the breakup of Pantera" and all I could think of in my head was finishing that sentance with "that's how fucking awesome they were"

    I think one obvious oversite on your part you may want to consider including is Jimi Hendrix.

    Joe Strummer I think should top the list.
    Neil Young is also pretty fuckin influential, to me anyway.

    I think Roger Waters, Jim Morrison & David Bowie are somewhat more influencial than any member of Pantera TBH.

  • i think johnny thunders was very influential, like him or not. he was influential to the whole punk movement, a lot of his style, his look, and the way he played paved the way for punk.
