Got Some = a fresh new sound for PJ

I for one am liking the new direction the band is taking. The garage-rock "punk" songs (Save You, Comatose, etc.) are starting to get old. The band is essentially using the same framework they've used post-Vitalogy for their harder songs only now they are incorporating more melody and arrangement. You could tell things were starting to go this way with "Severed Hand." The sound on the Tonight Show was pretty bad and I still liked what I was hearing (the album I'm sure will be that much better).
So this life is sacrifice...

  • I like this song a hell of a lot better than Severed Hand, which to me was just butt-rock. This new song is more like Rocket From The Crypt or something. Raw sounding yet very melodic.

good song. sounded fine, i liked it.
  • Ed has always been a mumbler, but tonight he was mumbling worse than ever!

I agree, I actually came up with "fresh new sound" on my own before I saw this thread. It's different from other PJ stuff and I am hoping the album is too!

Rather than being birthed like a normal child, Chuck Norris instead
decided to punch his way out of his mother's womb. Shortly thereafter
    he grew a beard.
