I agree. What surprised me though is the best version is on youtube! I've listened to it live, replayed live, two other live versions but the youtube is the best to me. Go figure. :)

Anyone here listen to Devo? They have a song called "Gut Feeling" which sorta sounds similar in the chorus. Good work by Pearl Jam though.

2nd play convinced me that I liked it.

4th play convinced me that I'll love the studio version and future live performance that are not on a Universal Studio lot.

i liked it the first time around, it definitely gets better with repeat listens, i think just because the sound on the show was so crappy. it makes me want to hear it crisp and clear on the album and savor it...this felt like just a tiny taste!

i'm really excited for the new album :)

This was definitely a nice sampling of something even much better. Kind of like the small samplings, when I was a kid, of Hickory Farm's summer sausage. That was most enjoyable part about going to the mall as a kid, free tastes.

I agree, it does sound better after a few listens. It's kind of a shame, it does sound like Eddie was having an off night. Matt was tearing it up though, you can see it in his face when the camera pans to the back.

Kind of reminds me of a cross between Brain of J, Severed Hand, and Do the Evolution; but then again, something all its own.

I'm liking it the more I hear it, I thought it was good the first time. Catchy the second time, I just listened a third time and I'm feeling even better. Whoever coined that phrase "best since Yield" has hit it on the head, this is the best single I've heard since "Given to Fly".

I definitely wasn't blown away after the first listen, but after a few more times, I can say that I really like it a lot! It's very difficult to listen to a new song for the first time and love it. Most Pearl Jam songs take time to grow on you. I'm psyched for the new album and tour!!

Agree, which is why I'm highly anticipating the album version of the song - same goes for the drums. And I also agree that the song gets better and better after more listens. Great start, guys!! So glad O'Brien is back in the mix.

Didn't like it at all the first time. The more I hear it, the more it grows on me. A better recording would definitely be sweet to hear.
