I'm sure we'll hear that funny red-headed Irishman say something along these lines

Our musical guest for tonight, playing the song _______ from their upcoming album being released this fall, please welcome PEARL JAM!


Sorry if it took anyone with a dial-up connection 10 minutes just to read this..

    Pearl Jam mistakingly sent the Ten re-release instead of the new album, so NBC thought that was the new album. Or they didn't have the new one packaged yet, so they sent it in it's stead....

    you are assuming those facts

    although I find it hard to believe the band would use this opportunity to promote the reissue
