Hey All. We were locked. I can't imagine why :o :?: :?:

Anyway, In the spirit of the original post... might it be possible to discuss the EV Show, the pre-party and specifically things surrounding that? We had a good crew, we all (er... mostly) had good intentions, and there's 1 week and a day to the show(s).

    Thanks :D I shall be entering the raffle too :) , If I win something, please let it be small as I have to take it home lol, and on various train journeys! Its so close!!! This time next sunday I shall be arriving in Albany 8-) cannot wait to meet everyone

    OMG I can't believe the original Albany thread got locked!

    I can donate something but it is not official Pearl Jam merchandise. It is a live PJ CD from the 90's before they released their own official bootlegs. If this is acceptable I'll bring it for donation...if not please let me know JeanWah...thanks!

    I split the RSVP into 2 nights. If you were on the original list, but didn't have a n1 or n2, then you got put down for both nights (flipped a coin on that one). let me know if that's incorrect... i'm guessing there's a few that said "i'll be there" not realizing there's 2 parties?

    Calum, you're now down for both nights, but just one time... you can now leave your ping pong skillz in the UK.... LOL.

    Please reply if you need to be updated on the list.

    So Jecica and I are driving from Massachusetts to the show...our plans are to drive back to Massachusetts after the show but maybe just maybe we might spend the night in Albany and drive back on Tuesday...If we decide to stay can anyone recommend a hotel/motel that is cheap but not all ghetto?

    I can't remember where everyone said they were staying.

    We're staying at Econo Lodge "Downtown" in Renssalaer, 6 min drive to venue per mapquest at ~$70 per night, looks decent with a pool, but I don't know the neighborhood. There's def closer places, but I found this to be cheapest at a good distance.

    thanks to hotwire, i got stuck at the clarion, which is a few miles away from the theater. should be an easy cab ride to and from though, and it was under $100.
    i'm more a fan of popular bands.. like the bee-gees, pearl jam

    Good point(S) Monkey, ALL of them. I've decided to donate 2 shirts, wish I had more... white baby doll from '06 tour and black hoodie from last yr. Neither has really been worn (the tee may as well be a child's), PM'ing Foxy Mop now. This really is a good cause, guys. I've worked in a hospital for 11 years now, and patients NEED more ppl on their side, fighting for them when they can not advocate for themselves. I've witnessed many sad cases & injustices. My mother also has a devastating chronic illness, and she's actually hospitalized right now. I can tell you that it is hell to transition to pain & dependency after a life of doing things on your own. I'll be buying plenty of raffle tickets, & I hope everyone donates what they can.

    Ditto here.... I got my hopes up that I was going to get the Holidy Inn Express on Hotwire, but wound up with a reservation at Clarion instead... :?

    yea same here.. ah well, it doesn't seem that it's too far from the action (3 miles, i think). too bad that it exceeds walking distance though..
