Who heard the new song? Played yesterday on The Spectrum on Sirius XM. Liked it. Slow, bluesy, harmonica in beginning, sounded like a real rough cut though..... comments?

Sirius Satellite Radio, The Spectrum has been playing the song for a couple of weeks now. It is a good tune.

ahhh, thanks - have the 45 but no record player. I guess I need to get one so I can listen to it. I wonder if it will be added to new album.

  • Towards the end of the song, Eddie acknowledges that "up in the northwest we've got it good, a little soggy but we've got it good. Can't help thinkin' that I wish I would move my ass down to Santa Cruz!"

Any under-lying issues here? Is Eddie tired of the Seattle scene? Is touring solo giving so much freedom that he's looking for a change? Interesting lyrics and a nice bluesy feel to it. Love the harmonica intro! Eddies sings this type of music very well, but I hope the new album has a Vs. harshness to it, but with the intelligence of Avacado. Keep the music comin' guys. Conan's appearance starts it all off!

They were playing that radio station where I work yesterday and when I heard the harmonicas first, I was like hmmm this is very familiar. When Ed finally started singing, I was like, "No way!" I dunno, maybe this is a sign Santa Cruz will be on their new album coming out this fall?

I truly doubt that it will be on the new album

I find it very odd they just started playing yesterday on sirius xm for it not to be on the new album or one of the songs they sing Monday night.

that surprises me....I'm in my car 2 hours a day, PJ on favorites so I am notified whenever a song is on, and yesterday was first time. It also listed song as "new music". Single has been out for 3 weeks or so. Odd it never popped up before yesterday.
