I was thinking of getting this. Who here has this/has any opinion of this?
You connect it to your computer's USB port, and then you plug your phone to it. Does this mean you need your computer on all the time?

We just got Magic Jack, and so far we are satisfied with it. It can be spotty sometimes, but for the most part it's pretty good. I would say if you use your house phone a lot or rely on it to work from home then it may not be what you're looking for. We've lost a couple of calls (not all that often though), and sometimes the line can get a little staticky but it works for what we want it for and for what we were paying for a home phone each month it's DAMN worth it.
