Untitled in Touring Band

Now, I'm sure this has probably come up in the past, but I'm pretty new to the Ten club, and I was wondering about the Untitled song on Touring Band 2000 dvd. I know it's from the Las Vegas October 22nd show, but where does this song come from? Is it a cover or is it recorded anywhere? :?

Beautiful track. I don't know what the official story is, but I know that was played several times throughout the 2000 tour, and (correct me if I'm wrong) became MFC. If you listen to it, speed up the guitar riff, keep the theme about cars, and slightly edit the lyrics, it's pretty easy to hear the resemblance.

Untitled on Yield is completly different to the Untitled live, they're not the same song.

Maybe the live version just came about from a jam on stage????

I think it just came about as an improv on stage. It honestly sounds like the same chords as MFC just slowed down and played at a slower tempo and pattern. I think I read that here a few years back, but the songs do sound similar and untitled is a nice transition into MFC live I think.

I think the first official recording it was on was the Live on Two Legs cd.

It is basically an improvised intro to MFC.

The chords/strumming pattern is pretty much the same ... just much, much slower. Ed began improvising it on the 1998 Yield tour, and it kind of took off from there.

I love the one from Hamilton, ON on the Canadian tour. A bit biased as I was there, but it's a fantastic version.
