Any fans here? I've been a huge fan since the mid 90's. Has anyone heard her new album? I haven't heard it myself, read some reviews which are rating it as mediocre. Then again I've never paid heed to reviews in the past so I'm not gonna start now. I'm rambling, so any opinions on the genius of Tori Amos?

A fan....have not heard the latest album or even the last album...but I'm still a fan. She puts on a helluva show live.

Yeah that's deadly. There's a track on Under The Pink called Past The Mission which features Trent Reznor on backing vocals. It's one of the best songs I've ever heard!

Probably not a lot of Tori fans here, but I've been listening to Night of Hunters and it's pretty amazing. It's a classical concept album, which at first I was kind of unsure of, but with Tori's incredible voice and dark sounds, it's amazing. I highly recommend checking it out!

She's one of the most INCREDIBLE performers I've ever seen live. Even when it's just her and a couple pianos. Just amazing!

From the Venus and Back recording, she says something like "This creature on the drums, this is Matt Chamberlain" I remember hearing that and getting all kinds of excited! :D

First time I've read a new thread title in this section and actually got goosebumps!

I got into Little Earthquakes at the same time I got into Ten - both albums being a key part of a very difficult relationship..... That album is one of those that is beyond music for me - into deep parts of being who I am.

I liked the next one too (under the pink?) - especially Pretty Good Year.

I haven't followed her at all since that album though. I respect her though - for Little Earthquakes alone!

Tbh I think it was when I got a boot of her singing Smells Like Teen Spirit that I really got into her. I eman FFS how does that work but jeez it does! The I saw her live & it's just so different to waht you expect the way she grinds away on her piano stool! That was years ago so I'm not sure if she's still the same but yeah.
