What an awesome tune.. once the guitar kicks in you know it's gonna be kick ass. I wanna hear this one live!

Why this didn't make an album is beyond me.

What's the best performance of this? Reading 2006 is good, any more epic versions?

It is one of my favs too! I just love that punch-you-in-the-face guitar riff at the beginning.

I felt like they were really in the pocket starting with Sad. One of my absolute favorites. The Lisbon 9/5/06 sequence of Sad, Daughter (It's OK - phenomenal), and Insignificance kicks ass.

I long for an "It's ok" tag at the end of daughter!

Same here...it was/is one of my LD favorites. Matt does some cool drum work as well. The Reading footage is great...Mike at the start doin circles just waitin to hammer the riff.

A PJ fav I hope to hear at ACL or Chicago...they have been pulling it out pretty often the last few tours...

So many reasons to love this song...it combines so many classic PJ elements...the echo-y effects, the earnest-emotional Eddie, the big crashing bridge (love the pick slides!)...and I'm too lazy to confirm right now, so correct me if I'm wrong...but that's gotta be one of Stone's groove-faced solos....they let Matt play more than two drums.....it's got a kinda corduroy feel to it imo...not sure why, I think the guitar in the chorus...
I've been lucky enough to catch it live at least twice that I can think of...they haven't totally nailed it either time....in fact, Eddie totally blew it last time...

Great song. From what I remember is the band did not include it on Binaural due to already having a song about loss/death on there (Light Years)

The fact that this was dropped from Binaural was a huge error on PJ's part. The Lost Dogs version is a little rough but with some polishing up (maybe make the guitars a little heavier) this could have been the band's biggest hit since Betterman.
    So this life is sacrifice...
