In the midst of the excitement of new PJ music, a new album, and new tour dates, I think it's time for the greatest PJ fans in the world to get together and enjoy the next best thing- Backseat Lover, PJ tribute band, live in Worcester, MA on 6/20. After all, this may be the closest we get to PJ in New England this year... ;)

    Exactly, I was saying the same thing. I guarantee anybody the goes and hasnt seem them before will leave feeling great. No, its not Pearl Jam but the closest thing to it and its fun to rock out to the songs. They sound pretty damn good.

    Well..I'm not sure you are "keeping it real" since it seems like you have never been to a BSL show...They are hands down---the BEST PJ Tribute band...I have been to almost every show they have played since January...

    As for Pearl Jam the band, or Mr. Eddie Vedder himself...there is no substitute...

    I am fairly certain that the members of BSL are true PJ fans, just like the rest of us..what sets them apart from us is that they have talent...They don't try to look like the the band, they purely focus on the music and it shows.... ;)

    Cropduster, if you read my earlier posts I was basically saying the same exact thing about Backseat Lover. I second everything she says. Trust us when we say that you will not be disappointed after the show is over. The band doesnt act like they are Pearl Jam. They simply just love playing the music and they never go through the motions just to get a show done. They put all their effort into sounding great. And they also play and sing the songs like they are supposed to be played instead of them putting their own take of what is already perfection. At least thats how I feel about many PJ songs. THIS WILL BE ONE FUN NIGHT!!! I hope you all can make it.

    are the guys 10 club members?? Sorry funnygirl but the singer has an idenity crisis......lol. But that is what makes the band I think. Best PJ cover band around though!

    Um...I am going to have to defend the lead singer of BSL right now....In no way does he have an identity crisis. He has been blessed with a voice similar to Eddie's.....That's all....

    I can't wait to see them again!

    I am here to let everyone in the MA NH RI area that this band is "the shit" SERIOUSLY! They do not disappoint! :mrgreen:

    So, are BSL actually playing in Worcester on 6/20 or is this speculation/preplanning in the event that there is a MA fans 10C get together? If they're playing we'll be there. We saw BSL back in '07 (i think) at the HRC in Boston and they were actually pretty good and seeing we can't afford to fly to any of the US shows announced so far it looks like I'll be needing a PJ fix for '09 :D

    I love this cover band dont get me wrong............But he does act out the eddie part. The way he holds his arms and cups the mic and shakes his head. He jumps into the eddie character, hard. So no need to defend someone that needs no defense, he is blessed w/ eddie's voice and acts like eddie on stage. I dont personally know the guy and dont know how he acts after his performance or when he is feeding his cat but he does a great job acting the role of eddie.     yeah...I'm sure you don't have to worry about getting shut out of tickets like you do around here...maybe when they play closer I'll peep them out..but i ain't driving to Worcester for a tribute band!

    Looks like you can buy tickets through Ticketmaster in advance. They will be sold at the door for $10 but you must pay in cash if you buy a ticket at the door. Also, I think this is a 21+ show?
