i am, by far, the BESt mosquito repellent for other people to have around. as in, if i am there...i get eaten alive while all else remain untouched. seriously. my family and friends are always amazed just how many, and how lage, the mosquito bites all over me, all summer long.....it's real attractive. haha. i always manage to get the first bite of the season, my husband is continually amazed...i got bites back in april! nothing like a grown woman with mosquito bites all over her. sexy. ;) yikes.........

currently, i only have one bite on me, on my calf. i also still have a pretty good allergic reaction to em, sometimes the site gets so swollen it's ridiculous. i've tried various repellents to no avail, and i have no intention of bathing, and smelling of, deet all summer long. i know lyme disease is a serious thing, but i figure thus far i've managed, so just keep on keeping on...

    it truly sucks.

few years ago i had a yellow jacket fly up my pj bottoms one morning while out in the yard. didn't even realize what it was, had been so long since i had last been stung. i got 6-7 stings, from my ankle up to my ass. my ankle/leg swelled so bad, i thought i'd end up in the ER. i didn't, but i couldn't go to work for a week, and when i did return..it looked like someone took a baseball bat to my leg and beat me i was so bruised.

Mosquitoes only bother me in the most extreme conditions, but that's when its the worst. Not only is it 100 degrees out, but you're covered in a thick layer of humidity and every little bit you get a little stinging sensation that you instinctively slap, only to get blood and bug guts all over your hand and shirt.

I had a wasp sting me right on the ass, through jeans one time. It was alot more painful than I woulda imagined.

Yeah, it could be. Speedy, I would just keep an eye on this (as I'm sure you're already doing) ;) My girlfriend got bit by a brown recluse last fall, and it took the wound MONTHS to heal...plus, it can get quite gnarly if you don't take care of it, or seek medical attention quick enough...and I believe it can possibly lead to further infection

Although I'm sure that's not it...it's always good to konw what could be a far more worse case scenario, right?

But whatever you do, definitely don't go see a doctor under any circumstances!! Even if you specifically tell them not to check anything aside from the bites on your back, those no good motherfuckers will run all sorts of tests in an attempt to sell/encourage procedures and various medicines that you clearly don't fucking need and definitely didn't ask for ;) ..

They could be spider bites like Tybird said... Get yourself some Zyrtec, that stuff is amazing for the itch and swelling...

    Good Luck :)

Spider bites most often leave a tell-tale sign....two pucture marks at the place of bite

Only a spider can cause such big welts.
    Surely a spider.
I read somewhere that we get bitten by spiders many times in our lifetime but don't realise because we are asleep.
    Now that freaks me out!
