Poll: What format do you want the new PJ album to come in?
***EDIT POLL CLOSED*** Scroll to the bottom to see the results section.
** EDIT** **Open for one month from OP**
** 21, May 11:31 AM- UPDATED TO INCLUDE FORMAT OPTIONS i & j TO REFLECT PEOPLES ADDITIONAL DESIRE FOR MULTIPLE FORMAT OWNERSHIP***
There is an interesting discussion going on in this thread http://forums.pearljam.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=99083 about how people want to get the new PJ album. It is interesting to note that this does not always coincide with how they want to listen to the new PJ album.
People in this thread have suggested several different combinations of formats in which PJ might choose to make the album available. I have gone through them to come up with a list for everyone to vote on. There is an example ballot at the end of this post. The list follows...
1. FORMAT OPTIONS:
a. Vinyl only
b. CD only
c. mp3 download only
d. FLAC download only
e. Vinyl + mp3 download
f. Vinyl + FLAC download
g. CD + mp3 download
h. CD + FLAC download
i. Vinyl + CD + mp3 download
j. Vinyl + CD + FLAC download
2. DELIVERY OPTIONS:
a. I only want a downloadable (digital) format only for the new album.
b. I want both a physical copy (CD or vinyl) and a digital copy downloadable from PJ.com.
c. I only want a physical copy (CD or vinyl) and don't want a downloadable (digital) copy.
3. WILL YOU PRE ORDER THE NEW ALBUM:
a. Yes
b. No
4. Do you want PJ.com to make the same offer they did in 2006 where you could download a digital copy if your physical copy did not show up by the street release date?
a. Yes
b. No
Please only vote once! When the poll closes I will tally the votes and publish them on the OP (front page).
Example Ballot:

I look forward to seeing what everyone thinks!
***RESULTS*** (as of Monday, July 6th, 2009 7:03PM)
Question 1: Format Options
There were 47 recordable respondents. The voters heavily favored option "i" (Vinyl + CD + mp3 download) by a significant margin. Very notable at the opposite end of the spectrum are a complete lack of interest in stand-alone digital downloads. People want to own a physical copy! More interestingly, 80.85% of the voters specifically want vinyl as an option (expressed through votes for options: a, e, f, i, & j)!
a. Vinyl only: 2 votes, 4.26%
b. CD only: 3 votes, 6.38%
c. mp3 download only: 0 votes, 0.00%
d. FLAC download only: 0 votes, 0.00%
e. Vinyl + mp3 download: 4 votes, 8.51%
f. Vinyl + FLAC download: 5 votes, 10.64%
g. CD + mp3 download: 6 votes, 12.77%
h. CD + FLAC download: 0 votes, 0.00%
i. Vinyl + CD + mp3 download: 23 votes, 48.94%
j. Vinyl + CD + FLAC download: 4 votes, 8.51%
Question 2: Delivery Options
This one wasn't even close. 39 of 48 respondents voted for option "b." It looks like the model that 10C has established with the bootleg releases and the more recent Drop In The Park release have whet the appetites of the masses. Music on the go is great, but so is listening at home in a lossless format.
a. I only want a downloadable (digital) format only for the new album: 0 votes, 0.00%
b. I want both a physical copy (CD or vinyl) and a digital copy downloadable from PJ.com: 39 votes, 81.25%
c. I only want a physical copy (CD or vinyl) and don't want a downloadable (digital) copy: 9 votes, 18.75%
Question 3: Will you pre-order the new album?
Another blowout with 46 of 48 countable votes going towards option"a." This is one loyal group!
a. Yes: 46 votes, 95.83%
b. No: 2 votes, 4.17%
Question 4: Download option in case of delayed physical copy delivery.
The people have spoken! A whopping 43 of 48 countable votes were cast in favor of 10C providing a downloadable version of the new album in case there is a delay with the physical copy making it to their mailbox by the street date.
a. Yes: 43 votes, 89.58%
b. No: 5 votes, 10.42%
Thanks everyone so much for participating. I apologize for my tardiness with getting these stats posted, but hope you all find them informative none the less.

where's format option i?
as in - CD, vinyl and mp3/flac.....?
i see no reason why ALL cannot be offered. my only beef was the idea of DLs being offered first, as i far perfer to listen to the CD first.
2. DELIVERY OPTIONS:
again, where is option d?
as in, i really only 'need' the CD b/c i can easily rip the CD myself, but i am certainly not against them offering a free DL with purchase of a CD and/or vinyl.
3. WILL YOU PRE ORDER THE NEW ALBUM:
a. Yes
4. Do you want PJ.com to make the same offer they did in 2006 where you could download a digital copy if your physical copy did not show up by thre street release date?
