Im sick of the Ben Harper-ized version of Indifference!

I mean, it sounds cool some instances, but he just kinda ruins it for me. He extends the words.. and idk.. he changes the whole vibe. Ed should sing it only.

    Actually the VIC performance sounds like Harper is constipated. That, or he was possessed when saying, SWALLOW POISON. Don't get me wrong, the Garden in 03.. and others it's cool.. but im kinda growing out of it..

    I'm with you. Ben is ok on his own. Personally, I think he's a little over-the-top with his vocal inflections, but not bad. His version of Indifference is ok. PJ's is obviously incredible. But when they do it together, it just sounds incredibly awkward. Ben's style does not jive with Ed's and neither seems willing to change to make it work. So to me, it always sounds forced and uncomfortable.

    As far as I'm concerned Ben Harper can cover any PJ song.

    I think he does a damn good job at them!

    I haven't really liked any version since 98, go and take a listen to Atlanta 94 that's the way i really remember it and wan't them to play it like that ... :)

    i was just thinking this the other day. the garden vers. is amazing but im not so sure if i digg the other versions

    i like it, with or without ben, but i wish they would not close shows with it!
    I need a rocker to end the night with, and it is just a bit of a downer to finish on
    plus i have seen it close shows about 5 times out of 14 shows :lol:

    Rockers suck as closers. It needs to be something chill, like the cigarette after sex. I would rather see 100 straight shows close with Ledbetter than Rockin in the Free World.
