Exclusive: Pearl Jam Confirms Target Tie-Up

Curtis says it was important to him and to the band to redefine the notion of an "exclusive" retail partnership. "I appreciate the efforts of bands like AC/DC and Radiohead," says the manager, alluding to two of the bands that have self-released albums recently. "But I wanted our plan to be multi-dimensional to address old and modern ways of fans accessing music. It will allow all of our fans to have the same access."

"This is an ongoing experiment," said Curtis. "Every time we do something it's new for us, and were not trying to tackle the whole world at once. All we've been searching for forever is independence and control over our own stuff. The way of releasing records is changing every day. This is the best way we could do it ourselves in America. Right or wrong, we'll figure that out and make it better the next time."

Those are some commendably diplomatic statements. With that sort of management and Vedder's amazing talent, no wonder the band is so successful. For being so anti-corp, PJ surely has big business sense. Kudos to them for maintaining as much integrity as is possible in the insane entertainment industry.

Hey there, Internet! How's it going? Welcome to the brand new Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien website!!

For those who don't know me already, my name is Aaron Bleyaert and I'm the blogger/web guy here at the show. I'll be writing a daily blog, doing weekly videos, minute by minute Tweets, and basically anything else I can think of to give you all a little glimpse behind the big velvet curtain of our little TV show that we put on every night. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, just voice them in the comments section below, and I'll do my best to respond to every one!!

A little bit of info about what to expect from our site in the coming days/weeks/months/years: Every day, we'll have last night's full episode for you to catch up on - as well as little bite sized morsels of entertainment goodness (aka all the previous night's guest segments) for your brain to taste and enjoy as well.

Each day we'll also feature a brand new Behind the Scenes photo (oddly enough, in our "Photo of the Day" section), as well as a brand new post in this here blog to give you some behind the scenes goodies and to let you know what to expect on that night's show!

    That's not all, however...
