If you said Santa Cruz/Golden State is the Greatest Holiday Single, you are correct.

    I do like the 2008 holiday single a lot. I strongly prefer the band going to the studio for 2 new songs rather than just using a live concert track.

    1999 Drifting/Strangest Tribe is really good.

    I always like 1996 Olympic Platinum... very funny!

    I think Santa Cruz sounds very much like Santa God (and I don't mean the titles) - Don't care for either really.

    Golden State is pretty good though

    I don't care for Santa Cruz, the lyrics are kinda annoying.

    Golden State is great though.

    I'd say the 2008 holiday single is passable, but nowhere near as good as 05, 06 or 07.

    yeah, i gotta admit i find the new single very vanilla... i super duper love the issue of deep, though, so it's a wash.....

    mostly i'm just very happy i still get a chance to "judge" the latest "holiday" single from my favorite band.... long live the jam!!!!

    Great single but not the best....Strangest Tribe/Driftin' gets the nod for me, with Love Reign O're Me being the best thing they've put on a single.

    Still im really digging the new one...really enjoying Santa Cruz for what it is, and i've been listening to (and enjoying) Golden State for months, however i do prefer the original version to this stripped down one.

    I have to agree. I think Drifing/Strangest Tribe rules. I also prefer the version of The Golden State from the John Doe release.
