The ever elusive Vedder, who was at the epicenter of the Pearl Jam explosion, spoke in depth about the early days of his arrival in Washington. It's hailed by the book as being the first interview where Vedder openly discussed the early days, even offering up anecdotes such as the time he and Soundgarden vocalist Chris Cornell almost died while mountain climbing.
