Who is feeling a Oct. Southern tour leg following Austin ?

This is what a North Carolina PJ fan is hoping for ! I know Jeff specifically said PJ's plans to play "some Southern shows" this year. It would be awesome to have that follow Austin or have Austin in the middle of it, similar to Bonnaroo last year, when PJ hit up the East Coast around the TN gig. How long do you think that leg would be, and what cities would it be ? If they don't hit up NC, hopefully it's either ATL or DC. I would be super psyched for an October tour, because likely the album would be out, or released that month, meaning it would be chalked full of new material. It's unclear what, if any, new stuff they'll play in August during their Euro and mini US tour.

2009 should be a great year ! PLAY THE SOUTH PJ !

Actually I think Jeff said that he was "looking forward to playing the south" in 2009- which sadly doesn't mean multiple shows in the south. I'm sure he knew about and was talking about ACL when he said this- so this COULD be the only southern show of 09

That would be wonderful! if they announce more shows the only ones I would be able to do would be FL or ATL as Chicago and Austin City Limits have completely tapped my budget for concert traveling this year.

New Orleans would be great for you :) I really hope it happens, it would be pushing it for me though, I would already be pushing it if they played ATL as I would have to fly there anyways, and in between FTM in May, Ed in June (except for the tkt which was birthday present) Chicago show and Austin City limits believe me that my concert fund is depleted!

I don't see any reason they won't play shows down South in conjunction with ACL. That's a long way to go just to play a one-off.

    this would be AWESOME!
i have continually hoped for some dates in october, b/c there is NO WAY i can do any of the augst/september dates, besides even the cost of travel this year. if they hit up anything in the southeast....hopefully we can make a few days of it, keep costs down, roadtrip.....and see live pj this year! have EV in baltimore, but truly...i want to see the whole band in 2009.

    *fingers crossed*

I feel maybe Houston, Dallas or San Antonio... it'd be great if they would come down to Corpus Christi... They've never been this far south and , no doubt, they would sell out :)

If you've read your latest issue of Deep magazine, it seems Jeff got mugged a shitload of times in Seattle and hasn't moved yet.

whatever- you think the band will really never come back to ATL because of what happened? So I guess you also think that Ed will cancel his two solo shows in ATL in June too?:lol::lol:

If PJ decides not to play ATL this year, then it has to do with the fact that they already didn't have anything planned for ATL in 09, which wouldn't surprise me. They'll be back in 2010 though when they tour the country properly
