It's really strange... I've hated olives my ENTIRE life... til I had some in a salad a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd try them one last time and decided that I absolutely love it... and since then I've eaten about a million olives.

Also a few days before that, we went out for a carvery lunch and they had roast parsnips, which again I've always hated, but decided that I really wanted one for some reason... and now I can't get enough of them :?

what's going on? and no, I'm not pregnant.

Oysters. My dad loved them - baked, raw. Ugh. Then I tried them when I was older - loved them. When I was pregnant, that's all I wanted to eat (cooked though).

And I had the same olive experience. Hated them until recently.

Artichokes ... well, I'm only eating them on pizza for now but it's a huge step for me.

Same here. I used to hate olives, but then I acquired a taste for them. Now I love 'em.

There's a Sainsbury's market in Victoria, London that sells really nice olives at the deli counter. They do them with herbs and olive oil. I used to eat them every day when I worked nearby. :P

 I may have to try that when I'm down there next month. I've just been buying the sainsbury's ones but they taste good. I've been craving them AND parsnips... it's really really strange.
