I don´t know if this was ever posted in here, and sorry if it was but I found this the other day on the youtube, and it looks amazing! It´s a rare yield promo funny quotes from eddie "It´s not funny to be angry and pissed off, all the time anymore! hahaha :D!!

    Isn't it more the vocal pattern/rhythm that makes Given to Fly like Going to California? I never really noticed a "riff connection", but the vocal similarity is obvious.

    This thing has been haunting me for 10 fucking years.

    I was 14 years old, and I was watching a Babylon 5 marathon (which I didn't really get, but I enjoyed the alien make up, lol), when my older sister, who was watching TV in another room, stormed in all a twitter, screeching- "you HAVE to switch to MTV right now! You have to see Eddie Vedder's HAIR!!!"
    and I remember it so vividly, it was a huge battle scene, and I couldn’t care less about Pearl Jam, much less EV's goddamn hair style, but I indulged her anyway.

    And there he was, in all his 98 faux Jew Fro glory, breaking a Yield vinyl in half.

    So I was like- "great, he used to look like a little girl, now he looks like a little boy" (it was a thing with me back then, to make fun of her celebrity crushes), and switched back to Babylon 5.

    About a month later, I had the song Black stuck in my head for some reason, so I decided to listen to the album... and fell madly, deeply, profoundly, and dementedly in love with this band. And then I remembered choosing some stupid alien show over a super rare interview that I will never, ever get to see again...

    Thank you so much for this... I just feel like I came full circle. I can't believe it's really been 10 years since I decided to pick up Ten. The best random decision that I have made so far in my short life.

    great video! the guy who posted this has a bunch of great, rare videos.

    great that this is on youtube, seeing i never had the chance to see any of these interviews live (being, that at that time, i was about 6 years old!), or any older interviews/videos for that matter

    Great story :) I fell hard for PJ watching Headbangers Ball when I had insomnia as a preteen (I've wrestled with insomnia my whole life; MTV used to be a lot more entertaining !!)

    wow, i've had vauge memories of this promo, i almost convinced myself that it was in a dream. glad to see i wasn't crazy all these years. anyway, jack and the giant drum kit was fantastic. also, cool to see "dig me out" in almost every shot Ed was in, that too is an awesome record.
