plenty of people are in the 10c first and foremost, for TICKETS, and nothing more. i know my main motivator for joining was tickets. however, i am a collector by nature, so i love the singles, the deep mags, posters, etc.....so i keep em. that said, i have zero problem with people selling THEIR OWN STUFF. if someone is willing to buy it...c'est la vie!

it truly AMAZES me how so many find it 'shameful' or 'wrong' for people to sell items they own. if it weren't pj stuff, would you care? people sell EVERYthing, and for more $$$....that's supply and demand!

Boo-f*cking-hoo. The band charged $140 for a box set that cost them probably half that to make. More power to the free-market!

i see one of the sellers is in Colorado.... anybody any further east get theirs yet? (i'm in minneapolis)

i really don't have a problem with people selling 'em... as said before, people can do what they want with their own stuff.... i can't wait to get mine and spin that shit up!!!

I have absolutely no problem with this.

If they were selling POSTERS on the other hand...

I kid. I'd have no problem w/that, either.

Its to be expected these days. I try not to let what anybody else does with their membership and the stuff that comes with it. Im just happy my membership is in tact, get my single and most importantly, getting tickets.

Based on your tone I thought the auctions were going to be for 10c concert tickets, which of course isn't allowed and would piss me off. Who cares if someone doesn't have the means or desire to play a vinyl record, particularly if resale is not forbidden? You certainly don't have enough information to judge how much of a "true fan" they are.

Yeah. Who gives a shit. Some people don't care about the single. No big deal.

yeah I don't see any problem with people selling those. Most likely, the people buying them are people who like to play vinyl, and the people selling them have no use for a record. I'm sure a lot of people pay for their 10c membership by selling their christmas single...I have zero problem with that, but I'm too much of a collector to sell mine...plus I like to spin them from time to time...

    Yep . . . I do (& I don't have a turntable, either)

And I do agree, it is the music . . . but it is also the extra goodies they are so gracious to give us. I don't think the band sends this stuff to us to turn around & make a profit off of it. If that was the case, they'd just stick this stuff in the Goods section & make their own profit.

I have several of the Holiday singles that I've never even listened to (no record player). I don't really care for Deep magazine and if I had the inclination to sell the stuff, who the fuck are you to tell me I'm not a real fan if I do?

agreed.... if somebody wants to sell it, that's their prerogative.... not to quote Bobby Brown or anything ; )

people don't care about people selling the single because everyone gets one. when people get shut out of a poster or tickets, that's when they bitch. it really has nothing to do with flipping--if someone cant get something he/she wants, that's when they have a problem with the free market. it basically boils down to if i cant get what i want, and i dont have the money to buy it on the secondary market, i'm gonna bitch and moan. it's a sense of entitlement more than anything else.

    Singles for sale? Meh....Who cares.

Mine just collect dust anyway. Give it a week and they won't be sold for more than $15. If you need the money that bad then more power to ya.

    EXACTLY.

i am a collector...but if someday i ever decide i WANt to, or NEED to, sell anything that i OWN...you bet i would so without any qualms about it, and it in no way would diminish my 'true fan' status. such BS. hahahaha.

btw - seems some may be under the delusion that pearl jam *gives* us these things? huh? we PAY for them, thru our memberships....it is mentioned as being a part of our membership. so yes, pearl jam makes their profits on the 10c memberships as well. absolutely it costs $$$ to run the fanclub, and i am grateful for it and it's low cost.....but we are BUYing these things.....

i've never known a group of fans to make so many things *holy*....then again, the age of the internet has exposed many strange things.......
