PEARL JAM FESTIVAL

I'm wondering if Pearl Jam would ever consider hosting their own festival among the likes of Phish. If you have ever been to a Phish festival, you know how amazing it is to see two to three days of shows with long afternoon sets and long evening sets as well. Even if you are not a Phish fan, you can appreciate the concept. When I went to Big Cypress in 2000, there were about 90,000 Phish fans in the middle of the Everglades just there to listen to Phish. It was a city full of fans. I can only imagine what a Pearl Jam festival would be like, with a true sense of community and love for the music. Thoughts? Ideas?

Hahaha amazing idea, would be so sick. Would go anywhere for that.

Like they went through all their studio catalogue or something like that.

Interesting concept....I wondering if the band would be down for something like this at this point in their lives. It would definitely be a great idea for an "aniversery" that all the re-issues are leading up to...can you imagine if they did something like this in Seattle??? If they did it right I could see them drawing well for a two or three day fest.

Yeah and they could maybe invite all their buddies to do some sets with them or something, i.e ben harper, neil, maybe even pete etc.

The old fans would be pissed that the tickets weren't done by seniority, and the new fans would be pissed that the tickets weren't randomly selected. And there would be fights for the limited edition posters. Horrible idea.

Honestly, I think you would only need one place and only Pearl Jam. It would be a festival celebrating the community of Pearl Jam and the music that they have created. Camping with a bunch of Jammers would be sweet.

I say it should be a Seattle "reunion" Festival! The idea came after I read the "Grunge is dead" book (amazing book by the way...)

    So, you'd have:

Love Battery (with Bruce Fairweather) and Mudhoney and at the end, you get also Alex Vincent and there you go; Green River plays a set!

You get Screaming Trees back together with Josh Homme doing rythm guitar once again.

Soundgarden reform for that show = Temple of the Dog. 2 reunions in one!!!

Foo Fighters are invited with also, Krist to reform Nirvana; every singers of the other bands (Lanegan, Vedder, Cornell, etc.) take a turn at singing Kurt's songs. Eddie would sing Scentless Apprentice!!!

And you get other bands like Tad, Melvins, Fastbacks, The Posies, etc.
You're not what you own - Ian MacKaye, Fugazi

    98 - Montreal
    00 - Montreal
    03 - Toronto, Montreal
    04 - Boston (Show #1)
    05 - Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto
    06 - Toronto (Show #1)
    09 - Toronto, Philly (Show #3-4)
    10 - Cleveland
    11 - Montreal, Toronto (x2), Ottawa
    13 - London (ON), Philly (x2)
    16 - QC - Ottawa
