Pompous-sounding question re: Festivals

I have a low 10C number, so I am usually in the first few rows at shows.
Since I don't want to be in the ruckus upfront at the OLF, I am wondering how the experience will differ since I won't be as close as usual?
Anyone got experiences they can relate?

I suppose if you're talkin front row, that's a whole other experience. If you've never been on the rail, go early and get it. I was on the rail for a Velvet Revolver show, right between Slash and Weiland and it was fuckin awesome. I'd probably soil myself for PJ.
it WILL be quite different, but that doesn't mean it can't be JUST as enjoyable......just.....different. :P
i am the opposite of you - i have a rather mediocre # so i am usually not close at seated gigs, but i've seen pj from the front 1-3 rows about 9x due to GA shows. being on the rail is a totally different experience simply b/c you get farrrrrrr more immersed in the band, what they each individually do, etc. whereas from a distance...you are getting a farther away, much more general overview of what the band is doing. obviously, the MUSIC is the same, and thus JUST as enjoyable...and you will also more than likely interact with whomever is sharing the show with you more, which can actually add a LOT to the experience as well. be prepared for a very different live pj experience, and you won't be disappointed. in fact, you might develop even further appreciation from afar, seeing how GOOD the whole experience is, no matter where you are.
ENJOY!
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow
