How big is the floor at the M.E.N arena, compared to Wembley ? More importantly, should we expect a better sound than you get at the old converted swimming pool ?

Well, maximum capacity for Wembley Arena is around 12,500 and the MEN can get up to 21,000 in total I think. The floor is bigger than Wembley, but the sound is better overall.
2006: London Astoria, Lisbon I & II, Paris, Verona, Milano
    2007: Wembley, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Nijmegen
    2009: Manchester
    2010: Belfast, Berlin
    2012: Manchester I & II
    2014: Leeds, Milton Keynes
2018: Amsterdam I, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Barcelona, London
2022: Berlin, Budapest, Krakow, Amsterdam II

I just looked up some info so you can compare:

    M.E.N. Arena:
    Conventional end-stage concerts - 13,500 - 15,800 (fully seated)
Conventional end-stage concerts - up to 19,350 (floor standing) so this is probably the attendance for the PJ gig if it sells out.

    Wembley Arena:
Capacity is 12,200 fully seated, so I imagine it'll be a higher number when it's floor standing like it was in 2007.
2006: London Astoria, Lisbon I & II, Paris, Verona, Milano
    2007: Wembley, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Nijmegen
    2009: Manchester
    2010: Belfast, Berlin
    2012: Manchester I & II
    2014: Leeds, Milton Keynes
2018: Amsterdam I, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Barcelona, London
2022: Berlin, Budapest, Krakow, Amsterdam II

The MEN used to be used for hockey games. So take the stage away and then think of a hockey rink. It's a big place. The sound was great there when I went to see Audioslave. I was stood up and it was completley bonkers. It's a way bigger floor than Wembley both width and length wise.
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

How is the view at the MEN in general? I got standing tickets but I've broken my leg since, and although I should be back in action by August, I'll probably have to take it easy at first, ie. no moshing and jumping around. How's the view around half way back (where the crowds usually aren't too bad)?

It's not to bad, I have stood right at the back of standing there before and still been able to see alright.
    Astoria 20/04/06, Leeds 25/08/06, Prague 22/09/06, Wembley 18/06/07,
    Dusseldorf 21/06/07, Manchester 17/08/09, London 18/08/09, LA 06/10/09, LA 07/10/09.

Ain't gonna be any middle anymore.

Well, I'll just have to make the best of it. I guess on the up side, I now have time to look at merch and get a poster n stuff as I won't have to fight for a spot at the front.
